R72383 2022-23 GSWA Petrophysics datasets
A suite of petrophysical measurements made on drillcore samples from
the Paterson Orogen (Nifty Copper Mine), the Yilgarn (Youanmi, Kurnalpi,
and Southwest Terranes), the Perth Basin, and the Eucla basement.

The following measurements were made on each sample:

  • Induced Polarisation (Chargeability) and Galvanic Resistivity
  • Inductive Conductivity
  • Magnetic Susceptibility
  • Remanent Magnetisation and Koenigsberger Ratio, Q
  • Dry Bulk Density
  • Apparent Porosity
  • P-wave Sonic Velocity
  • Spectral Radiometrics


    • Data packages will be released for each area as they become available.
    Standard delivery datasets for each area include:
  • a datasheet with petrophysical measurements, lithological information and supplementary material
  • a photo of each sample, and
  • a description of the methods.

    • Some of the packages may also contain a report from Terra Petrophysics.

    The Datum for all files is GDA94.
